Buddhist pilgrimage tour with Lamrim teaching

Overview

This tour is a very organic approach towards once body and mind, Introducing to you the crux of Buddha hood the enlightened yet enlivening many peoples in today’s date.  In his very first sermon Lord Buddha put forth the Middle Way, the Four Noble Truths, and the Eightfold Path – the message spread rapidly, penetrating caste and class barriers.

It is not necessary for you to adapt with complete teachings of Buddha, yet we all know that our basic human nature is to feel compassion to others, so to awaken the raw self, practice Buddha’s teaching. By and large we dealt with so much chaos, commotion and endless human created problems, but there is a way for us to escape.  It is not necessary for you to come with us and cleanse the disturbing mind, yet in group you learn and offer new ideas. In order to practically live in the life span of Buddha, we will be visiting his birth place (Lumbini), his place to achieve enlightenment (Bodhgaya) and (Kushinagar) where he attained Nirvana.  Throughout your visits you will be accompanied by a Gesha, a high scholar monk giving you an instruction and a background stories. We will also Varanasi, “City of light”, and the fabled Taj Mahal in Agra.

Highlight:

  1. Morning begins with the streaming cup of Tibetan herbal tea to revitalize your mind and body.
  2. To participate in meditation giving you a complete peaceful mind.
  3. Circumambulation of Stupa (Holy Sites), it’s a very age old tradition of Tibetan and still followed in Today’s date, giving you physical exercise, which is also a means to pay homage to holy sites. At some places you will see people prostrating near the Stupa.
  4. Daily teachings on Buddhism and gradual path of Enlightenment (Lamrim) by Gesha, which will be followed by evening discussion.
  5. Daily visit to the places mostly relevant to Buddha’s teaching.
  6. Recitation of Green Tara Puja, this is a blessing to all the human being wishes to stay in peace by controlling troubles. By reciting this precious Puja it also opens the door to compassion and wisdom.
  7. Participation in the offering of prayer flags traditionally used to promote peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. Hanged in the higher places which flicker even with a very light wind, carrying the sacred prayers written on the flag all over the space. It provides peace from within and to others as well.

  1. Tsog Pujas: Tsog’ means ‘collection’ and when we make Tsog offerings we do them collectively, as a group. In this way we accumulate collective karma – we create the cause to progress along the Spiritual Path together. We also accumulate a great deal of merit – positive mental energy – the cause of good fortune. During a Tsog puja we arrange a table of food and drinks – making it look as beautiful as we can. We imagine that we are preparing a banquet of delight for the holy beings to enjoy. We then invite the holy beings to the place of offerings and imagine they enjoy this blissful banquet.Afterwards, we enjoy the Tsog offerings with our Spiritual friends. These Tsog puja’s are a great way to get to know your Spiritual friends and to feel a part of a Spiritual Community.
